Pages 4 and 5
What do you think about the very last panel? I love how it turned out, mostly because I’m pretty sure this is not how I reacted as a week-old baby to a phone call I couldn’t even hear, let alone understand. But that’s what I like about telling stories through comics — you can weave in cute and comedic elements into very real and serious topics in a way I don’t think is possible in other media. I love imagining these situations through this comic lens. And that’s your answer to why this is story is being told in a comic format.
