Dear readers,
This week, Brave Hearts is continuing with page 3! If you haven’t read the beginning yet, read it here first:
Brave Hearts: Pages 1 and 2
Dear readers, I have to be honest. After announcing my comic Brave Hearts a few newsletters ago, I was secretly scared I would never start drawing it, and that my flashy announcement would remain a testament to my failure to start projects. Just to give you an idea of why I thought this: It took me more than half a year of procrastination to draw the fir…

Trigger warning: The following comic discusses events happening during the Croatian War of Independence and might be triggering for some people. The following pages do not contain any explicit violence.
And now a typical behind-the-scenes update:
First, yes, I am the baby in the comic.
Second, I’ve been a bit frustrated for not being faster with this comic. And not being more motivated to work on it daily. But this is the truth: This comic is hard. It’s hard to be in the mind space of these events, especially while being surrounded by news about civilians currently experiencing things like this and much much worse.
In the past two weeks, I kept catching myself scrolling on Netflix looking for romantic comedies (that are not complete trash) and feel-good shows. I really felt like I needed to watch heartwarming stories about the good side of life.
So, I have decided not to pressure myself too much. I am planning to make one or two more pages soonish and then take a small Christmas break. I have several cute Christmas stories about my family and my grandma and I might share those during December. I will continue with Brave Hearts in January.
I also have a post about motivation in the making, but paradoxically I haven’t had enough motivation to write it yet (: So much for now!
Thank you for reading! If you liked this, like, comment, and share it with others.
Until next time,
Ana
Brave Hearts: Part I
Dear readers, Two new pages (6 and 7) of Brave Hearts are here! This completes Act 1 of this story, so I decided to put all the existing pages together as Part I (out of III). I also made some small (imperceptible) changes to previous pages, so this way you can read everything again in a continuous way, if you want to, or you can scroll to page 6 directl…
