Dear readers,
It’s been a busy couple of weeks of moving and starting my new postdoc as a comic researcher😎 [I know this emoji is a bit outdated, but what do kids use to say “cool” these days?]
In all this, I only had the time to make something fast and funny, inspired by dealing with minor life tasks that I would rather not have to do… ever. The comic I’m sharing today is also primarily based on a metaphor described in the poem “Autobiography in Five Short Chapters” by Portia Nelson. The idea to depict the ideas from this poem as a comic about ADHD came from the Inattentive ADHD Coalition, who asked me to create something for their monthly newsletter. The version I’m sharing with you below is my tweaked version with my signature humor.
Here is to hoping that recognizing our ADHD triggers will not only lead to their avoidance, but also learning to cope with them.
Thank you for reading!
Until next time,
Ana
In my email the last picture didn't load properly, it says "image not found". I'm sorry! I guess the punchline was too good!!
